Egham is a university town in the borough of Runnymede in Surrey. It is located between Staines-upon-Thames, Sunningdale, Englefield Green, Virginia Water and Windsor.
Egham is changing for the better. With the efforts of the local council, Egham Chamber and investments from property developers and businesses, Egham high street is becoming attractive and dynamic. Among its residents, you’ll find young couples who commute to London for work, locals who’ve lived there for generations and a young crowd of students from Royal Holloway University. With two big supermarkets nearby, the high street also drives nearby residents from leafy Virginia Water and Englefield Green.
Supported by The Runnymede Council and Egham Chamber of Commerce, Panier Markets launched the Egham High Street Monthly Market in October 2022. The market received a warm welcome from the local residents and businesses. It takes place on the first Saturday of every month. The high street closes on the day for the occasion and up to 40 stalls set up and trade from 10am until 4pm.
The market gathers a selection of around 10 local artisans and makers, between 10 and 20 food and drink producers and 5 street food stalls. More than 70% of the traders are businesses located within a 10-mile radius of Egham. Customers enjoy shopping and supporting these local entrepreneurs. On occasion, bands and buskers will play music at the market for your entertainment.
New stalls applications are welcome, and Panier Market is willing to help new local businesses who would like to start trading!
